Together We Are Stronger - Dublin Bus Reveals Pride Campaign & Announces Community Partnership
4 June 2025
Today, 3 June, Dublin Bus and its employees announce a new community partnership with
Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre for Pride 2025. Dubliners should keep an eye out for the Together We Are Stronger campaign, which is proudly displayed on buses across the city, as Pride season begins.
As part of its continued support for the LGBTQ+ community and its employees, Dublin Bus has partnered with Outhouse to create this year’s campaign. 100 t-side ads will be displayed across the Dublin Bus fleet showcasing a sample of the many services that Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre provide to the LGBTQ+ community. From The Café at Outhouse to peer support groups, from book clubs and open mic nights, Outhouse is a space for the LGBTQ+ community to feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
Speaking about the campaign, Vivienne Kavanagh (she/her), Talent Development and Diversity Manager at Dublin Bus said: “At Dublin Bus we are proud of our progressive D and I policies and it is very important to us that all our employees and customers feel safe and supported.
I’m delighted that Dublin Bus is partnering with Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre for this year’s Pride community partnership, continuing our long commitment to the LGBTQ+ community and our employees. Outhouse was chosen as they provide a wide variety of services to people of all ages, across the LGBTQ+ community”.
Outhouse is a space for LGBTQ+ people to connect with one another, with their community, and with themselves. It is a space for support, a space to feel safe, a space to be understood. And a space for hope. They advocate for and amplify the voices of the community, working to strengthen the movement and promote equity and justice for all LGBTQ+ people.
Oisín O'Reilly (he/him), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre added: “At Outhouse, we know that visibility, connection, and solidarity can be life-changing, and even life-saving. That’s why we’re so proud to partner with Dublin Bus for this year’s Pride campaign. From the very beginning, their team took the time to get to know our work, our services, and the people
behind them - and that genuine connection shines through in this campaign. Together, we’re bringing the strength and vibrancy of the LGBTQ+ community into the heart of the city and onto the streets. It’s a powerful reminder that when we stand together in support of inclusion and equality, we all move forward.”
With over 4,300 employees, Dublin Bus has long supported the LGBTQ+ community and its employees. 2017 saw Dublin Bus work with TENI (Transgender Equality Network Ireland) to produce its Workplace Gender Transition Policy and Guidelines for transitioning employees. And in 2018 and 2019 it helped ‘Proud Dads’ and older members of the LGBTQ+ community to come together and enjoy Pride.
More recently it has supported Ireland’s only dedicated national LGBTQ+ press, GCN; youth LGBTQ+ organisation, BeLonG To; LGBT Ireland, provider of support, training, and advocacy to improve the lives of LGBT+ people across Ireland; and ShoutOut, who deliver workshops which tackle homophobic and transphobic bullying in secondary schools across Ireland.
The Dublin Bus X Outhouse Together We Are Stronger campaign can be seen on Dublin Bus routes throughout the city.
