Dublin Bus is launching a new Safer Journeys Team, a comprehensive 20-week pilot program aimed at enhancing safety and security on our services. This pilot arises from key recommendations put forward by independent security experts, and forms part of our ongoing commitment to creating an even safer and more comfortable environment for all who use our services
The Safer Journeys Team consists of two dedicated units, with one operating on the northside and the other on the southside of the Liffey. These teams will operate Sunday to Thursday 14:00hrs to 02:00hrs and Friday and Saturday 16.00hrs to 04.00hrs, covering peak hours of travel and late-night services. Their presence will provide visible, reassuring presence to customers and employees, offering assistance in a range of situations—from providing information and guidance to responding quickly to security-related incidents.
The Safer Journeys Team will focus on busy areas that have been identified through feedback and data analysis as priority areas. We will carefully monitor the impact of the Safer Journeys Team throughout the 20-week pilot, gathering feedback from customers and employees. If you have any feedback on this new pilot, please email us at [email protected].
