Phase 6a of the BusConnects Network redesign commenced on Sunday, 26 January 2025.

This phase introduces new 24 hour Spines E1 and E2.  It will also include the launch of Radial Route 19, Local Routes L1, L2, L3, L12, L14, L15, L26, L27 and Peak Routes X1 and X2.

Routes 19, E1, E2, L12, L14, X1 and X2 will be operated by Dublin Bus and Routes L1, L2, L3, L15, L26 and L27 will be operated by Go-Ahead Ireland, on behalf of TFI.

Radial Route 19 will initially operate to and from Parnell Square and to and from Merrion Square at peak times. 

Areas served by Phase 6a include

  • Santry
  • Ballymun
  • DCU (Santry)
  • Dublin Airport
  • Clontarf
  • Phibsborough
  • Broombridge
  • City Centre
  • Heuston Station
  • Stillorgan
  • UCD (Belfield)
  • Bray
  • Dún Laoghaire
  • Greystones
  • Newcastle

The following routes will no longer operate:  
46a, 46e, 63, 63a, 84, 84a, 84x, 143, 144, 145, 155, 184 and 185.

The following existing routes operated by Dublin Bus will have routing and timetable changes:

  • Route 4 will operate from Monkstown to Heuston Station.
  • Route 11 will operate from Sandyford via Phibsborough and the North Circular Road to the Phoenix Park.
  • Route 13 will operate from Grange Castle to Mountjoy Square.

Route 11b will be introduced on Sunday, 26 January 2025, operating from Donnybrook Road to Phoenix Park.
