Phase 5b of the BusConnects Network redesign will launch on Sunday, 26 November 2023. 

This phase will involve the introduction of Orbital Routes S2, S4, S6, S8 and W2, radial Route 74 and local Routes L25 and L55. 

Routes S2, 74 and L25 will be operated by Dublin Bus and Routes S4, S6, S8, W2 and L55 will be operated by Go-Ahead Ireland, on behalf of TFI. 

Route S2 will connect Heuston Station with St. James's Hospital, Rathmines, the RDS, Sandymount and Poolbeg. 

Route S4 will connect Liffey Valley Shopping Centre with Ballyfermot, Crumlin Hospital, Terenure to UCD.

Route S6 will connect Tallaght with Rathfarnham Shopping Centre. UCD and Blackrock Station.

Route S8 will connect Dún Laoghaire with Sandyford Luas, Tallaght and Citywest. 

Route L25 will connect Dundrum Luas, Stillorgan and Dún Laoghaire.

Route L55 will connect Palmerstown Village, Ballyfermot and Chapelizod.

Route W2 will connect Tallaght, Newlands Cross and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.

Route 74 will connect Dundrum Luas. Marlay Park, Whitechurch, Terenure, Crumlin, The Coombe Hospital and Eden Quay. To facilitate the introduction of Route 74 at Dundrum Luas Station, Route 44b will have a terminus change from Sunday 26 November 2023. View Route 44b terminus change. 

The introduction of these new routes will coincide with the removal of existing Route 61 operated by Dublin Bus and Routes 17, 18, 75/a, 76/a and 175 operated by Go-Ahead Ireland
