New Fare Zones from Monday 28 April 2025

From Monday 28 April 2025, new Fare Zones will be introduced within Dublin city centre. There will be four fare zones covering Dublin Bus / Luas / DART and Commuter Rail . To find out more about these zones, visit Transport for Ireland

Dublin Bus services will mainly be in Zone 1 and most fares in this zone will remain unchanged.

  • The TFI 90 minute fare in Zone 1 will remain unchanged at €2 for Adult, €1 for Young Adult/Student and €0.65 for Child Leap Cards.
  • Daily Multimodal Cap: will be €6 a day for Adult, €3 for Young Adult/Student and €1.95 for Child Leap Cards.
  • Weekly Multimodal Cap: will be €24 a week for Adult, €12 for Young Adult/Student and €7.80 for Child Leap Cards.
  • Monthly Multimodal ticket: will be €96. 
  • Annual Multimodal ticket: will be €960.

The above Leap fares will allow any combination of Dublin City Bus / Luas / DART and Commuter Rail travel within Zone 1.

From Monday 28 April 2025, the daily and weekly cap for bus only will no longer be available for Adult, Young Adult/Student and Student Leap Cards.
