As the largest public transport provider in the Greater Dublin Area (GDA), Dublin Bus plays an integral part in the various communities that make up our customer base. It is important to Dublin Bus that we contribute to the communities in which we operate. Since the company’s inception in 1987, a number of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives have been undertaken for this purpose which has helped Dublin Bus to drive Dublin life forward by supporting, improving and enhancing the lives of the people and the communities that we proudly serve.
The Community Spirit Initiative reflects Dublin Bus’ commitment to playing an active role in the communities in which services operate. Dublin Bus will continue to work with local communities, helping voluntary groups to maintain and grow their services and support young people in the areas of education, arts and sport, through the Dublin Bus Community Spirit Awards, the Schools Education Programme and by supporting local events.
