Service Announcement on upcoming planned industrial action on Tuesday, 27 September and Wednesday, 28 September

Published on Tuesday, September 20, 2016

Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that it is likely there will be industrial action by all employees on Tuesday, 27 September and Wednesday, 28 September.

The Trade Unions have confirmed that this action will take place from midnight on Monday night, 26 September. This leaves us with no option but to terminate all routes at 21.00 on Monday night.

On Monday, 26 September, the final departures on all Dublin Bus services will be up to and including 21.00. This includes Airlink services. This is to ensure the safe and secure return of buses to each depot prior to the commencement of industrial action by all employees at midnight that night. Please see here for a full list of routes and last departure times for each route.

The Ghostbus Tour will operate as normal on Monday, 26 September at 20.00.

No Dublin Bus routes, sightseeing tours or Airlink services will operate on Tuesday, 27 September and Wednesday, 28 September.

Dublin Bus has urged Trade Unions not to engage in this industrial action which will cause further disruption to customers.

Regular updates on the situation will be issued on our website, www.dublinbus.ie and on our social media accounts Facebook and Twitter @dublinbusnews

Our social media team and customer service line (01-8734222) will be open from 07.00 to 23.30 on Monday, 26 September.

Our social media team will be available from 06.00 to 21.00 on Tuesday, 27 and Wednesday, 28 September.

Dublin Bus Head Office and customer service phone line will be closed on Tuesday, 27 and Wednesday, 28 September.

Our customer service phone line will reopen at 08.30 on Thursday, 29 September and Dublin Bus Head Office will reopen at 09.00 on Thursday, 29 September.

We apologise for the significant inconvenience caused.
