Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that, in order to facilitate Luas Cross City works in the Dawson Street, Suffolk Street and Talbot Street areas some routes will be re-routed in the City Centre and some will have revised timetables from Sunday, 18th January 2015.
Routes 14, 15/a/b, 140, 142
Northbound Direction: These services will operate on their current route to Camden Street Upper and will now continue on Camden Street, Wexford Street, Redmonds Hill, Aungier Street, South Great George’s Street, Dame Street and College Green where they will return to their current route (instead of Charlotte Way, Hatch Street, Earlsfort Terrace, St. Stephen’s Green, Dawson Street and Suffolk Street).
Southbound Direction: These services will operate on their current route to College Green and will now continue on to Dame Street, South Great George’s Street, Aungier Street, Redmonds Hill, Wexford Street and Camden Street where they will return to their current route (instead of Nassau Street, Kildare Street, St. Stephen’s Green, Earlsfort Terrace and Adelaide Road).
This new alignment will offer customers improved journey times away from the LUAS Cross City street closures around the Nassau Street area and will provide for better access to South Great George’s Street and Dame Street. All routes will take full advantage of the new contraflow bus lane on Upper Camden Street.
Routes 44 and 61 will remain on their current route, therefore maintaining a connection from Camden Street to Dawson Street and Nassau Street.
