RPTI Customer Update

The Dublin Bus Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) service is experiencing reliability issues. For customers this means the last update to a particular service is not showing on the RTPI system so they see their service countdown to ‘due’ but that particular service doesn’t arrive until a few minutes later. 

We are actively working with our RTPI service provider to resolve this issue. They have informed Dublin Bus that their RTPI development team will have a software solution completed today. This will be integrated into their test system on Monday with a delivery to our Live System planned for mid next week. 

In the interim our RTPI service provider is closely monitoring the performance and reliability of the system. A customer update will be available on all RTPI display units, the Dublin Bus website and our App.  Dublin Bus apologise to customers who are being inconvenienced as a result of RTPI reliability issues.
