The seventeenth edition of Culture Night will take place on Friday 23 September. Culture Night celebrates culture, creativity and the arts and connects people to cultural activities locally and nationally. A programme of unique events, workshops and activities has been planned for Culture Night 2022. All activities are made available to the public free of charge due to the continued support of the Arts Council, local authorities and cultural organisations throughout the country.
Dublin Bus is proud to support Culture Night Dublin again this as the official transport partner. We’re here to help you soak up the culture by providing FREE Culture Night buses around the city, along three tailored routes to bring you to your favourite cultural quarters. Visitors can hop on and off at each of the stops so it’s a great way to get around on the night and take in as many of the participating locations as you can.
Bus routes A and C will operate from 18.00 to 22.40, departing every 20 minutes. The last bus will depart at 22.40 to be at outermost venue for pick-up at 23.00.
Bus route B will operate from 18.00 to 23.00, departing every 20 minutes. The last bus will depart at 23.0 to be at outermost venue for pick-up at 23.20.

Culture Night Dublin’s 2022 programme has something to offer for everyone with over 300 participating venues, and more than 380 in-person and online events for audiences to enjoy across the Capital.
History enthusiasts will have the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Jonathan Swift with a tour of Marsh’s Library on St. Patrick’s Close or view one of the world’s most important collections of ancient manuscripts at the Chester Beatty, Dublin Castle.
Many important buildings that would normally have restricted access will be open to the public on the night. The custodians of the Freemasons’ Hall on Molesworth Street will be welcoming visitors to explore their Victorian meeting rooms and The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland on Kildare Street will host tours and talks on the history of Irish medicine.
Interactive classes, workshops and demos will take place at various locations throughout the city. The Gaiety School of Acting on Essex Street will be providing free workshops in “acting for screen”. Trinity College Dublin will be hosting a series of talks with Library staff about the Old Library Conservation Project.
Dozens of visual arts exhibitions will take place across venues including The National Gallery of Ireland on Merrion Square, where visitors can take part in the interactive digital exhibition ‘Painting Mirror’, which places audiences at the centre of their own masterpiece.
