The new network has been designed to improve the existing Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network. This means buses will be more frequent, there’ll be additional routes, and your bus number and timetable will change. The new network will be rolled out in phases over the coming years, starting with bus services in the North-East of Dublin.

The new H-Spine (PDF) and Route 6 (PDF) will replace existing routes 29a, 31, 31a, 31b and 32.

The H-Spine
Phase 1 will see the new H-Spine launch on Sunday 27 June 2021. This is made up of H1, H2, H3, H9 —all operated by Dublin Bus. 

The H-Spine runs from the City Centre to North-East suburbs, serving Baldoyle, Donaghmede, Raheny, Malahide, Portmarnock, Strand Road, Baldoyle, Howth and Kilbarrack. The H9 service will operate in the am peak between the City Centre and St.Anne’s Park Estate.

Note: Spines are very frequent routes made up of individual bus services.

Route 6

The new Route 6 also launches on Sunday 27 June 2021 and is operated by Dublin Bus.  It will serve Howth, Strand Road, Watermill Road, City Centre.
