Reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Executive Salary - €50,000 - €58,000 (Incremental salary)

Role and purpose

  • Take a lead role in implementing, managing and maintaining all aspects of the Company’s existing Environmental Management Plan, including, but not limited to the following areas;
  1. Carbon Reduction and Energy Efficiency – Vehicles and Premises
  2. Waste Management 
  3. Pollution Control
  4. Noise and vibration
  5. Environmental performance
  • Play a leading role in coordinating the development and implementation of an ISO 14001 Environmental Management system for Dublin Bus
  • Support Dublin Bus in fulfilling the requirements of its Environmental Policy.
  • Assist the Environmental Health and Safety Manager with any tasks relating to the introduction and monitoring of alternative fleet technologies. 
  • Assist with the ongoing development of the Environmental Management System 
  • Management of any other engineering or environmental related works/projects, as may be required from time to time.

  • Recognised third level qualification in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Qualification in Environmental Management desirable 
  • Knowledge/Experience of Environmental Management systems and standards desirable
  • Experience in preparing large organisations for ISO 14001 certification desirable
