All the below changes have been implemented.
Changes to bus services in the Cabra area commenced in October 2010. These changes were part of the Network Direct Project covering the following routes - 37, 38, 38a, 39, 39a, 46a and 70. Changes to routes 120, 121 & 122 are now proposed to complete the revised network for the area.
Some key benefits currently being experienced by customers in the area include enhanced cross city services to the Baggot Street area on route 37, 38, 38a, 39 and 70. Also, for the first time ever Cabra has an all day high frequency connection to UCD Belfield via route 39a and 46a. Route 39a also provides a more direct connection to The Blanchardstown Centre by utilising the Blanchardstown bypass. Route 46a connects Cabra with Phibsboro, St. Stephen’s Green, UCD Belfield and Dún Laoghaire. As a result of the revisions to route 120, 121 and 122 the fully revised network in Cabra will deliver the following benefits:
- A simpler network that is easier to understand
- More High Frequency cross city services.
- Meet customer demand
- Customer focused timetables

Through a comprehensive redesign, Dublin Bus has been able to achieve these requirements. Please click here to view a diagram.
