Physical Distancing Measures On-board

Published on Saturday, June 27, 2020

Dublin Bus has implemented physical distancing measures across our fleet. Some seating on-board is restricted, which is highlighted by signage.

We anticipate further increases in customer demand. To facilitate this, customer capacity on board will increase from 25% to 50% of normal levels from 29 June. This provides for an approximate capacity of 37 passengers per double deck bus (31 seating and 6 standing). On-board signage will be changed to reflect the updated restrictions in the coming days.

We would ask customers to please bear with us in the interim and to follow all restrictions outlined on-board. We would also ask customers to please continue to carefully follow the guidelines set out by the Government and the Department of Health while travelling on our services. Customers should note that wearing a face covering will be mandatory on public transport.

We would also like to remind our customers to:

  • Exit through the centre doors, where possible
  • Give priority for seating downstairs to people with a disability, older people or a pregnant person
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or you sleeve when you cough or sneeze
  • Wash your hands properly and often
  • Ensure that you do not leave any litter behind

Customers can also get updates on Facebook, follow us on Twitter @dublinbusnews or call our customer service line on (01) 8734222, lines open from 07:00 - 19:00hrs Monday to Friday and 08:00 – 18:00hrs Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
