COVID-19 Information: Playing our part in reopening Dublin City (Phase 1)

Dublin Bus is engaging with the National Transport Authority and other public transport operators to keep Dublin city moving for essential workers during Covid-19. Following the publication of the Government’s phased plan to reopen business and society, we have been working on a plan to ensure we continue to provide a reliable public transport service while protecting the health and safety of our customers and employees.

Dublin Bus will continue to operate the current enhanced Saturday timetable on weekdays. However, in order to maintain effective social distancing on our services, the customer capacity on buses is reduced to 25%. We advise customers to plan their journey in advance and travel outside peak times, where possible, to prioritise the safe transport of essential workers and journeys. Any anticipated increase in customer numbers will be closely monitored and capacity will be added where required.

We all have our part to play in preventing the spread of Coronavirus. We have rolled out social distancing measures on-board and we ask all of our customers to adhere to these and carefully follow the guidelines set out by the Government and the Department of Health, while travelling on our services. We have implemented an enhanced daily cleaning regime on our fleet and this will continue for as long as necessary.
