Update on Service Improvements to Routes 40 and 40b

Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that the planned changes to Route 40 and 40b will be deferred until Sunday 19 March 2017.

From Sunday 19th March, Route 40 will be extended from its current terminus in Finglas Village to a new terminus in Charlestown Shopping Centre. A new timetable will also come into operation for Route 40 and 40b. These changes will enhance connectivity within the Finglas area and will also greatly improve the reliability and punctuality of the routes. The changes will apply to weekday, Saturday and Sunday timetables.

Route 40b
Route 40b will have a revised timetable which will improve service reliability and punctuality.

All changes have been approved by the National Transport Authority.

We are pleased to announce service improvements to Routes 40 and 40b from Sunday 5 March 2017.

 

Route 40
Route 40 will be extended to Charlestown, providing customers in Charlestown with direct access to the city centre and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.  As part of this change Route 40 will have a revised timetable which will improve service reliability and punctuality.

Route 40b will have a revised timetable which will improve service reliability and punctuality.
