Recruitment Day

We are hosting a recruitment day to find 450 new drivers and 50 engineering employees including mechanics and engineering operatives. 

Come along on Saturday 2 April (10am – 6pm) to the Technical Training School, Broadstone Depot and find out about the competitive salaries and great benefits of working for Dublin Bus.

What to expect on the day
On the day you will meet some of our current drivers. Mechanics and Engineering Operatives who will share with you their experiences of working with Dublin Bus. We will take you through the recruitment process for bus drivers, mechanics and engineering operatives and the various benefits of working for Dublin Bus.

Bus Drivers:

Salary: €632.05 per week (4-day week inclusive of shift and Sunday premium), increasing to €859.62 (5-day week inclusive of shift and Sunday premium). 

Shifts: These roles operate scheduled services covering late shifts on a 4-day week from Thursday to Monday with the opportunity to progress to a 5-day week with rotating shifts. 

Training: Initial training and mentoring is provided as well as on-going training and development (including periodic CPC).

Benefits: On appointment (following a probationary period of 12 months), we will offer you a wide range of benefits including either a company pension scheme or a PRSA pension scheme, a subsidised medical scheme, free bus travel and concessionary rail travel.

Mechanics:

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to a permanent contract of employment)
Starting Salary: Salaries begin at €692.78 per week rising to €823.73 based on an 8 year pay scale, with shift premium applicable for night and shift work (up to 30% of basic pay).

Shifts: All successful applicants may be required to work, day/night or rotating shifts depending on the staffing requirements of their location and will be required to drive all company vehicles.

Engineering Operatives:

12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to a permanent contract of employment)
Starting Salary: €500.80 per week rising to €561.19 based on an 8 year pay scale with shift premium applicable for night and shift work (up to 30% of basic pay).

Shifts: All successful applicants may be required to work, day/night or rotating shifts depending on the staffing requirements of their location and will be required to drive all company vehicles.
