Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that a special event hosted by an tArdmhéara, Críona Ní Dhálaigh and Dublin City Council to celebrate the Dublin Senior Football team as All Ireland Champions 2015 will take place on Monday 21st September at 7:15pm in O’Connell Street on a stage erected to the south of the Spire.
As a result of this event O’Connell Street will close to traffic and the below diversions will be in place from 17:00hrs to 21:00hrs approximately.
Buses heading Southbound
Routes 1, 4, 7/b/d, 8, 9 11, 13, 16, 38/a/b, 40, 44, 46a, 122 and 140
Buses will follow normal route to Parnell Square East, then left to Parnell Street, Cumberland Street, Sean McDermott Street, Gardiner Street to South Quays and back on to normal route at D’Olier Street.
Routes 33, 41, 41b, and 41c
Buses will use Gardiner Street instead of O'Connell Street.
Route 123
Normal route to Cumberland Street, left to Sean McDermott Street, Gardiner Street to South Quays and back on to normal route at D’Olier Street.
Route 747
From Dublin Airport normal route to Talbot Street, then left to Marlborough Street, Rosie Hackett Bridge to South Quays and back on to normal route at D’Olier Street. Stops 1172 on Gardiner Street, 6032 on Cathal Brugha Street and 271 on O’Connell Street will be bypassed during the diversion.
Buses heading Northbound
Routes 1, 4, 7, 8, 9 11, 13, 16, 38/a/b, 40, 44, 46a, 120 (from Ballsbridge), 122 and 140
Buses will follow normal route to Westmoreland Street, then right to Eden Quay, Gardiner Street, Parnell Street to normal route at Parnell Square West.
Route 123
Normal route to Westmoreland Street, then right to Eden Quay, Gardiner Street, left to Sean McDermott Street and back on to normal route at Cumberland Street.
Route 747
Towards Dublin Airport normal route to Westmoreland Street, right to Eden Quay stopping at stop 7359 and back on to normal route at Bus Áras. Stops 4724 on O’Connell Street, 4508 on Cathal Brugha Street and 7402 on Gardiner Street will be bypassed during the diversion.
