Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that due to a protest march on Saturday 6th June 2015 there will be a number of delays and diversions in place around the City Centre.
The protest march will start at 13:00hrs from Merrion Square West and proceed via Merrion Street Upper, Ely Place, Hume Street, St. Stephen’s Green, Cuffe Street, Redmond’s Hill, Aungier Street to South Great George’s Street, which will close to traffic to facilitate speeches.
As a result the below diversions will be in place:
Merrion Square From 12:15hrs to 13:15hrs approx.
Routes 25, 25a, 25b, 26, 66, 66a, 66b and 67
All Buses to terminate at Pearse Street (opposite Trinity Capital Hotel)
Routes 44 and 61
Southbound:
From Merrion Street Lower turn left Merrion Square North, right onto Merrion Square East, continue straight on to Fitzwilliam Street, then right onto Leeson Street lower and left on to Earlsfort Terrace and back on to normal route.
South Great Georges Street closed from 13:15hrs to 14:30hrs approx.
Routes 9, 14, 15, 15a, 15b, 16, 65, 65b, 68/a, 83/a, 122 and 140
Northbound:
Buses will divert from Wexford Street, left for Kevin Street Lower to Kevin Street upper, right into Patrick Street, Nicholas Street, Christchurch, Lord Edward Street and back on to normal route.
Southbound:
From Dame Street continue straight for Lord Edward Street, left on to Nicholas Street, Patrick Street left into Kevin Street Upper, continue straight on to turn right onto Wexford Street and back on to normal route.
