Changes to Route 7 and Introduction of Route 7a

We are pleased to announce the following changes from Sunday 13 November 2016.

Revised routing and improvements to Route 7, which will operate from a new terminus at the Luas stop at Brides Glen and the introduction of Route 7a, which will operate on the old 7 Route. 

Route 7 will operate from Luas stop at Brides Glen  via Wyattville Road, Churchview Road, Sallyglen Road, Dún Laoghaire, Monkstown, Blackrock Bypass (inbound only), Ballsbridge and terminate at Mountjoy Square in the city centre.  There will be new bus stops provided on Sallyglen Road in both directions alongside existing pedestrian crossing.

Route 7 will provide an improved connection to the new Luas stop, Brides Glen at Cherrywood and the new residential and commercial developments at Cherrywood.

Route 7a will operate on the old 7 Route from Loughlinstown Park, via Wyattville Road, Churchview Road, Sallynoggin, Dún Laoghaire, Monkstown, Blackrock Village, Ballsbridge and will terminate at Mountjoy Square in the City Centre.

Route 7 and 7a will operate every 30 minutes all day Monday to Saturday. The routes will provide a combined 15 minute service from Wyattville Road to and from the city centre (Mountjoy Square).

These changes will improve reliability and quality of service and provide improved connections to Luas and Dart.

These changes have been approved by the National Transport Authority.
