Dublin Bus is currently recruiting Clerical Officers in the Media and Communications Department.

Role and Purpose

  • Support the Media and Communications Manager in implementing the company’s stakeholder engagement and corporate affairs strategy
  • Media Relations
  • Administration of all stakeholder correspondence
  • Provide administrative support as required to the Media and Communications Executive, and Media and Communications Manager

Summary areas of responsibility

Corporate PR

  • Assist with implementing activities as per the company’s stakeholder engagement and corporate affairs strategy
  • Prepare corporate literature and collateral to distribute to stakeholders on company announcements
  • Monitor and analyse statements from business leaders and politicians on industry issues online and across social media channels

Media Relations

  • Respond to media queries on company issues
  • Provide shared on-call service for media queries outside office hours.
  • Monitor and collate all media coverage relating to Dublin Bus


  • Oversee and organise filming and photo shoot requests from external agencies
  • Assist with collation of materials for internal communications channels

Experience / Skills:

  • A qualification in Public Relations/Public Affairs
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge / experience of social media is desirable
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages

Salary: €27,000 - €40,000 (depending on experience)
