Fare Calculator
The introduction of the Leap Card has given customers a new cashless way to pay for individual bus journeys. A customer can pay either the Flat Fare (over 13 stages marked in blue below) by Touching On at the validator on the right hand side as they enter the bus. Otherwise fares (marked in red below) can be paid by Holding the Leap Card to the Drivers Ticket Machine and stating your destination.

* Schoolchild Cash Fares apply only during normal school terms, for travel between home and school Monday to Friday up to 17:00hrs and on Saturday up to 13:30hrs. Outside of these hours a flat fare of €1.10 will apply to the child fare.
When using the Leap Card to travel on Routes 90 and 91
Please pay at the Drivers Ticket Machine* as follows
1. Hold your Leap Card to the target on the driver’s ticket
Machine.
2. Tell the driver your destination.
3. The correct fare will be deducted from your Travel Credit.
* If you pay using the Validator you will be charged the higher value flat fare of €2.45
When using the Leap Card to travel on Xpressos
Travel within one zone
Please pay at the Drivers Ticket Machine* as follows:
1. Hold your Leap Card to the target on the driver’s ticket
Machine.
2. Tell the driver your destination.
3. The correct fare will be deducted from your Travel Credit.
* If you pay using the Validator you will be charged the higher value flat fare of €4.00
Travel within two zones
1. Please use the Leap Card Validator on the right hand side as you enter the bus.
2. The flat fare of €4.00 will be deducted from your Travel Credit.
When using your Leap Card to pay for an Adult Outer Suburban 1 Fare:
1. Please use the Leap Card Validator on the right hand side as you enter the bus.
2. The flat fare of €2.45 will be deducted from your Travel Credit.
When using your Leap Card to pay for an Adult Outer Suburban 2 Fare or a Child Outer Suburban 1 and 2 Fare:
Please pay at the Drivers Ticket Machine* as follows:
1. Hold your Leap Card to the target on the driver’s ticket machine, as shown
here
2. Tell the driver your destination.
3. The correct fare will be deducted from your Travel Credit.
* If you pay using the Validator you will underpay and not have a valid ticket for travel and inspection.
