We are proud to support cultural initiatives and events throughout the city. It is an opportunity for us to assist and partner with local projects that benefit our communities. Our partners include:
For one night in September, Dublin city’s cultural venues open their doors for free visits and tours. Over 300 venues across the city including museums, galleries, churches, historic houses, artists’ studios, libraries, parks and cultural centres take part each year to offer a free night of entertainment and discovery for all the family.
Dublin Bus provide a free shuttle bus service on the night to bring visitors to and from their favourite participating venues. The buses are fully programmed with on-board entertainment. In 2015 Dublin Bus provided free shuttle services on four specially designed Culture Night routes to get people across the city enabling them to take in as many venues as they could on the night.
Since 2004 Dublin Bus has sponsored the Dubs Stars Awards, in partnership with the Herald, to honor the best club hurlers and footballers in Dublin County. The awards, which take place in December, celebrate the talents and achievements of all the players that dedicate themselves to training and matches throughout the year.
Following the awards the award winners form the Dubs Stars teams, in both Hurling and Gaelic Football. The Dubs Stars teams play against the Dublin County teams at an annual family friendly event hosted by a GAA club, situated in the Greater Dublin Area. The 2016 event took place at Pairc de Burca, home of Kilmacud Crokes in Stillorgan.
